We have repaired household appliances from an office at 130 Sharene Lane, Walnut Creek, CA 94596 since 2017. Walnut Creek is the core of the route; the East Bay and four more counties are covered from the same base.

What we do

We repair refrigerators, freezers, wine storage and ice makers; washers, dryers and combination units; dishwashers; ovens, ranges, cooktops, range hoods and microwaves. Built-in and professional equipment is a large share of the work, which is why the brand pages on this site go into model lines and characteristic faults rather than listing logos.

License

We are registered with the California Bureau of Household Goods and Services under BHGS 48535. California requires that registration for appliance service work, and the register is public: you can verify the number before we come out. Our technicians

The person who takes your call is the person who arrives, and the same technician sees the job through to the recheck. On a part order that means no re-diagnosis on the second visit and no explaining the fault twice.

Built-in and professional equipment is where most of the week goes, and it needs a different habit of mind than freestanding appliances: reading the fault codes stored in the control rather than the one on the display, judging a sealed system by how it behaves over an hour, and separating a failed board from a board correctly reporting someone else's failure. Where a repair needs a factory-only tool or a board that can no longer be sourced, we say so on the first visit instead of billing a second.

How we price work

The service call is $99. That covers the trip and the on-site diagnosis, which is the part that tells you what has actually failed rather than what the symptom looks like. We do not publish price ranges for repairs, because the same symptom can be a cheap sensor on one machine and a control board on another; quoting a figure before anyone has seen the appliance would be a guess. Once the technician has diagnosed the fault you get one price for the whole job, parts and labor together, and nothing is opened up until you have agreed to it. If the repair is not worth the cost we tell you that instead. Estimates over the phone are free.

Warranty

Parts we install are covered for three months. Labor is covered for 30 days. The two periods differ, and we would rather state both than round them into one number. Manufacturer part warranties run alongside ours.

Six counties: Santa Clara, San Mateo, Alameda, San Francisco, Contra Costa and Marin. The service areas page lists the cities. Two of them have pages of their own so far, Walnut Creek and Danville.

Independence

We are an independent repair company. We are not affiliated with, authorized or endorsed by any manufacturer, and we do not describe ourselves as authorized for brands we service. That matters for one practical reason: if your appliance is still inside its factory warranty, warranty work should go through the manufacturer's own channel, and having an independent company open the unit can affect that coverage.
